2 catches to this one:

  1. - after the first portion of the install it will reboot/log off. Once logged back in, it will try to resume the installation. Cancel, restart the capture and rerun the wksetup.exe - it will pick up from where it left off.
  2. - once installed, do a global capture and open the application, log in and open up a few records. this creates some files that would be otherwise missing in a base install.

I was also able to update this install with a minor ODBC reg patch

To assure you're not caught off guard with a server upgrade (which will force your clients to update the software or boot them out) - set the desktop shortcut for users to VISTMAIN.exe This prevents the update checking done by VCSTART.exe and allows you to manage your rollout of new versions better.
